A native of Wyoming, Dana received a B.A.
degree in communication from Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North
Carolina. Dana attended Queens on a full scholarship, and graduated summa cum
laude in 2007. She went on to obtain an M.A degree in communication from The University
of Alabama in 2009, where she was a member of the Lambda Pi Eta honor society.
Dana stayed at the university to obtain her Juris Doctor degree in 2012. While
in law school, Dana served as a lead articles editor for the Journal of the Legal
Profession, and worked in the school’s capital defense clinic. She also
worked as a law clerk for a personal injury firm in Tuscaloosa, Alabama from 2010-2012,
and worked as an attorney for the firm before joining Higgs and Emerson. Dana’s
practice areas include employment law, employee benefits and compensation, bankruptcy,
and general civil practice.
